- 3 Ounces unsweetened tea, preferably Tradewinds Unsweet Tea with a Hint of Lemon
- 3 Ounces orange juice
- 2 Ounces pink Moscato
Fill a champagne flute almost halfway with iced tea, such as Tradewinds Unsweet Tea with a Hint of Lemon.
Add a splash of orange juice.
Fill the rest of the champagne flute with pink Moscato.
For a fun addition, add some sugar to the rim of the champagne flute along with a lemon peel.

A wonderful calming oil to help ease stomach cramps and other digestive problems, in fact, fennel is often found in many of today’s laxative remedies. It can be extremely good when used in toiletries for mature skin and for anyone with menopausal problems.

This oil can be a bit expensive but it’s definitely worth spending a little extra on it. Frankincense is an important skin healer with many miraculous references going way back to the Bible. Adding a few drops to your face or body cream works wonders for dry or mature skin. Frankincense also has sedative qualities that will give a feeling of inner peace helping to eliminate anxiety and aid sleep. Other benefits include relief from coughs and asthma.

Galbanum carries an extensive tradition as incense. The actual resin can be burnt, and the oil has been utilized as a fixative within fragrances. Medicinally it is often applied to wounds and skin conditions. A very refreshing and deodorizing with its mild antiseptic and antiviral qualities make it a perfect oil for fighting off acne and dealing with most problems caused by oily skin. Lime can also stimulate circulation so if used for detoxification can help reduce cellulite.
Lemon-Orange Mimosa - Recipes
1 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
1.5 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
0.25 oz Simple Syrup
3 Sage Leaves
Add all ingredients (except Rosé) into mixing glass with ice. Shake well and pour into a balloon glass. Top with Rosé. Garnish with a grapefruit wheel and fresh sage leaves.
For batched punch proportions:
2 cups of NOLET’S Silver Gin
4 cups Grapefruit Juice (unsweetened)
1/2 cup Simple Syrup (adjust for desired sweetness)
1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
1 bottle of Sparkling Wine, Champagne or Sparkling Rosé
Bunch of Fresh Sage
Freeze an ice ring ahead with thinly sliced lemon, orange, grapefruit or any citrus fruit.
Combine all ingredients (but Sparkling Wine/Champagne) in a large punch bowl, stir to combine and carefully add ice or ice ring and the Champagne just before serving.
The Sidecar, with a century of history behind it, is probably the most famous of all classic cognac drinks, and it remains a favorite today. The tart, dry cocktail features cognac, orange liqueur and fresh lemon juice, plus a sugared rim, and it’s a direct descendant of the Brandy Crusta, an old New Orleans cocktail that has enjoyed something of a comeback in recent years.
The Sidecar was likely invented around World War I. It graced the pages of two books in 1922: “Harry’s ABC of Mixing Cocktails” by Harry MacElhone and “Cocktails and How to Mix Them” by Robert Vermeire. Both books listed the recipe with equal parts cognac, Cointreau and lemon juice, but subsequent versions altered the ratios, calling for two parts cognac, one part Cointreau and one part lemon. The latter formula is still common today and is used for this recipe.
The sugared rim is optional when making a Sidecar, but considering that this cocktail lands on the drier side of the sweetness spectrum, a few sugar granules with each sip provide a welcome treat.
How the Sidecar got its name is a source of debate: Both a French and English bar claim to have invented the cocktail for a customer who arrived at the location in the sidecar of a motorcycle. That seems plausible enough.
Bar veteran Dale DeGroff, however, says the drink’s name references the mixture that’s left in the shaker after straining and served in a shot glass on the side. This bonus is called, that’s right, a sidecar. You don’t have to serve a little shot alongside your Sidecar, but it’s a sure way to elicit smiles from whomever you’re serving—and it’s a great segue to tell the origin story of the cocktail.
Choosing the Right Garnish
Most cocktail recipes will recommend the type of citrus fruit to use. If it does not, simply choose one that complements the drink.
- If your drink is a short, martini-style cocktail with lemon juice like the lemon drop martini, you may want to use a delicate lemon twist.
- If you are garnishing an orange juice highball such as the screwdriver, a large slice of orange would likely be best.
- For a jungle bird cocktail, you'll use a pineapple wedge and a few leaves along with a cherry to create a "jungle bird" adornment for the glass.
Think about the drink's ingredients as well as the color of the garnish and how that would complement the visual appeal and taste of the drink.
Lemon Lavender Spiked Iced Tea
Oh you fancy, huh? Make Mom feel special with this home-made lemon lavender iced tea cocktail.
2 oz. Vodka
4 oz. Lemon Lavender Iced Tea*
Add Vodka to a tall glass filled with ice. Top with lemon lavender iced tea. Gently stir and garnish with lemon wheel.
*Lemon Lavender Iced Tea:
8 oz. Lavender Tea, chilled
2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
3 oz. Orange Blossom Honey Syrup
First boil 2 cups water in a tea kettle. While water boils, add 2 lavender tea bags, 3 oz. Orange Blossom Honey and 2 oz. fresh lemon juice to a pot. Once water boils, pour over mixture and let steep up to one hour. Store in airtight bottle until ready for use and keep refrigerated up to one month.
Yield Makes about 2 1/2 cups (590 milliliters)

Using a vegetable peeler, peel the citrus rind into wide strips, taking care to avoid the bitter white pith. Combine the citrus peels, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat.
Squeeze the juice from the citrus and strain to remove excess pulp and seeds. Measure the juice you should have about 1 cup (235 milliliters). If you have significantly less than 1 cup, top it off with more juice or water. If you have significantly more than 1 cup, drink the surplus or save it for another use.
Add the 1 cup of juice to the saucepan, and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat immediately and let cool to room temperature. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer discard the peels or reserve them for another use.
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

How Do I Know When My Fish Is Done Cooking?
