Recipe Hearts of red velvet by of 19-02-2018 [Updated on 19-02-2018]
THE hearts of red velvet they are the super romantic sweet to prepare whenever you want to pamper the person you love most! For breakfast, snack or a perfect after dinner, the hearts that I present today are filled with a double layer of Philadelphia cream, icing sugar and whipping cream. This is the smart, single-portion version of the red velvet cake that I proposed some time ago. I prepared these romantic heart-shaped cakes for Valentine's Day, I didn't have time to publish them for the occasion, but the recipe could always come in handy for an anniversary or a special occasion to celebrate.
How to make red velvet hearts
In a bowl, prepare the buttermilk by combining milk, vanilla essence, lemon juice and food coloring.
Let it sit.
Separately, work sugar, eggs and butter until you get a cream.
Then add half a dose of buttermilk and mix.
Sift together flour, cocoa and yeast and add half the dose to the dough.
Now put the remaining buttermilk, mix, and incorporate the remaining powders.
Once you have obtained a homogeneous mixture, transfer it to a baking tray lined with parchment paper and level the surface.
Then bake in the oven at 180 ° C for 20 minutes and let it cool.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling, in a bowl work the Philadelphia with the icing sugar.
Then gently incorporate the previously whipped cream.
Then use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to create the shapes.
Consider that you will need two templates for each candy.
At this point, stuff the first layer of hearts with the help of a pastry bag.
Cover with the second heart and stuff again.
Wait a couple of hours then your red velvet hearts are ready to be served.
